Transition idlers are used by conveyor system component manufacturers which helps them overcome belt damages due to the quick transition from a flat to rough shape which is installed at either end of the conveyor adjacent to the head drum and tail pulley.

These are installed at troughing angles of 35 and 45 degrees, and it is strictly not used with 20 degrees pickling idlers.
